Rules For Participation
Team Participation Rules & Regulations
Your Team Will:
- Consist of students (Student is defined as a person having been enrolled in a Canadian post secondary institution for at least one semester during the 2011/12 school calendar year.
- Have all team members attend the event to present solution. Exceptions may be considered with written approval prior to event.
- Present solution to judges in under 10 minutes
- Solution must address real-world health challenge
- Solution will be created together as a team
The Evaluation Criteria
Solutions will be evaluated by panel of experts from health care, technology and industry based on the following criteria:
- Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the health care problem
- Must be clinically useful in the health care environment
- Must be created by team for purpose of the competition
- Must be technologically feasible
- Degree of completion
- Cohesive presentation

Distribution of Prizes
Prizes will be awarded evenly to all team members as identified on the team registration document. Prize money is considered taxable income and a T4A will be mailed to all prize winners.
